Who doesn’t love a three-day weekend? This weekend, of course, we are to celebrate “Labor Day” (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Labor_day) here in the USA and for us it does usually mean a lot of backyard Bar-B-Ques, Beer Drinking and Parades. We rejoice in the end of summer, the kids going BACK to school and generally have a grand old time! So… I want you to share your weekend with me! Tell me what you did? Where you did it and with whom! (PLEASE – G-RATED STUFF ONLY – this is a FAMILY SITE!) If you took photos or videos – post your links! I’ll be posting mine so keep your eyes peeled! (YIKES!!! That sounds sorta creepy!)

Alas.. there are no recordings or photos from Sunday – it was a day of rest!!! 
Then on Monday – it was a LOVELY day for a BBQ and Pool Time at the Neighbor’s Place!

I hope you have a great labor day weekend, you deserve it…today, I’m going to make a few phone calls, then take the kids to my brothers so Kevin and I can just enjoy…not sure what else we are going to be doing, other than taking time to relax and breath.

Enjoy your picnic! We were planning to swim today but I think the only folks swimming here are the quail and the coyotes! In fact, there was a big pack of ‘yotes out back last night – havin’ a party over something (probably dinner! YIKES!)

Still spending time (or as Kyle says, plotting) our upcoming trip . . . getting more nervous AND excited.
We had some unusually torrential rains last night & today . . . reminded me of rain storms in CT. Kyle loves to play in the rain — I draw the line when the lightning starte.

Interesting blog. I just want to mention that I spent my Labor Day in Brooklyn, NY. Being originally from Trinidad (the inventors of Steeldrum Music), I felt very much at home as I enjoyed the pulsating sounds of the steeldrums and mingled with the revelers.
Hopefully, I would make time to edit some of the photos later today and upload them to my blog or to Facebook.

Labor Day is usually one of the last big pool days for our family in SoCal. After school starts and the weather gets a bit cooler, we don’t use the pool as much anymore as over the summer.
So, that’s what we did – with a great big BBQ of course…
